3.5* The Tomb of Heaven was more of a short story than the full-length novels we’re used to in the Fathom’s Five series so far and is not a standalone. This book focuses specifically on Jake and Shane, rather than the whole group, during their adventure to find the Tomb of Heaven and stop anyone from gaining the Elixir of Life and immortality. During their adventure, a character from the past comes back in to the fold looking to stay more permanently.I liked this book for the legend and the usual crazy, action-packed adventure, but I really enjoyed watching some of the main characters looking to slow down and make commitments to each other. I’m excited to see where this story goes for the fifth book.

This book was another fantastic, action packed, adrenaline soaked, compelling, sexy, and awesome thrill ride.
This is a quick, enjoyable story. For what this story is, I enjoyed it though wish it were a bit longer. It felt as though the action and adventure was just getting going and it was over. I missed seeing the other characters, either they were briefly seen or not mentioned at all. I look forward to seeing what happens next.

I love this series. It just keeps getting better and better. Cant wait for the next book. Love them fathom boys.
My disappointment is so great because I had waited so long for the next tale in this series. What a let-down.
Apparently no one proofread or edited the book. There were several errors on the first page that I found jarring (and hard to comprehend). None of the previous books showed this problem (or I wouldn't have read further). It isn't just distracting and annoying; these kinds of errors really make it difficult to make sense of the story. Misspellings, wrong words (on the first page, polite for pilot), missing words, wrong names (Jake looked over at Jake), etc.
The solitary sex scene wasn't even interesting. I want tawdry and tantalizing. And what's this with everyone falling in love? Jake and Eden? Shane and Daniel? I swear, I don't even understand WHY the pair would fall in love. The sex was mediocre at best.
Geoffrey Knight really blew it on this one.
